The black peep-toe pumps came from Target several years ago.
The earrings were an experiment at jewelry class last night which turned out quite well. They are made of copper, which is a great material for experiments because it is soft and inexpensive, so I am not afraid to play around with it and try new ideas out. (And an added bonus – according to unexpected compliments about the earrings from two different people in my jewelry class, copper is a good color on me.) I like how the shape of the earrings reflects the shapes in the dress – that wasn’t a design decision when I was making the earrings, but it was a natural choice and a nice touch to finish off the outfit today.
Here are bigger images of the jewelry. The copper is starting to tarnish on the bracelet since I made it about a month ago and all the hammering took off the outer protective coating on the wire, but the earrings are still quite shiny. I like the tarnished look so I plan to leave them alone and let nature take its course.
